About the Role: We seek a detail-oriented, thorough, organized fleet manager to join our growing team. A fleet manager oversees all commercial vehicles, drivers, and related assets, including their operations, conditions, external and internal policy compliance, and overall performance. Responsibilities: Direct responsibility for coordinating and executing the purchase and sale of vehicle and equipment assets Direct responsibility for managing manufacturer warranties Responsible for implementing a vehicle and equipment software tracking system to monitor vehicle and equipment performance, the effectiveness of Fleet services and track all shop records related to parts, repairs and maintenance Responsible for optimized asset management, with emphasis on safety, meeting customer requirements, compliance with regulations, and cost benefit Integrates the organization's business plan, goals and budgets with corporate strategic goals and objectives. Meet budget responsibilities through performance evaluation, economic modeling and leading team process improvement. Develops leadership, selects and maintains a multi-functional, diversified, well-trained, motivated and empowered workforce. Provides leadership for a workforce of approximately 15 employees. Models innovative approaches Administers the development of fleet policies and procedures. Provides leadership in new product and equipment design and standardization, and in the development of programs that will optimize vehicle utilization and minimize life cycle costs Ensures compliance with numerous federal, state and local laws, regulations, codes and ordinances. Assess complex competitive technical issues and political social issues and develops strategies to achieve results that consider the perspective of a wide array of stakeholders Participates in industry and professional forums in order to stay abreast of industry direction and new technologies Minimizes overall material inventory value and pursue vendor managed material relationships Proactively plan for material demands and ensure timely receipt of materials to support construction schedules Proactively manage material exceptions and provide feedback to Construction and Engineering Management on critical information Interface with Construction and Engineering Management to establish workflow including material release dates and release order Perform detail-oriented tasks using advanced math and analysis skills Qualifications: Five (5) plus years of previous applicable experience Required Skills: Five (5) plus years of MS Office skills required Preferred Skills: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year to year basis Pay range and compensation package: Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver’s License is required within two weeks of employment. Candidates must pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
