Travel Perfusionist - $3,445 per week

Certification Details BLS required Board eligible or certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion preferred Perfusionist state licensure preferred Job Details Maintains and operates cardiopulmonary pump, Cell Saver, autotransfuser and intra-aortic balloon pump during invasive cardiovascular procedures. Provides assistance to the physicians and staff as needed. Job responsibilities include operating life support equipment for patients undergoing open-heart surgery, setting up and operating different heart bypass pumps, operating extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, and serving in an advisory capacity to the surgeon for cardiac drugs. Responsible for patient care during a surgical procedure. Review of basic histology and anatomy required to understand the patient's disease process. Job Requirements Completion of an accredited perfusionist program required. 3 years of experience preferred.
