Hybrid Position - NO REMOTE Access Data Consulting is partnering with a leading financial services customer to fill a Paralegal II for their loan documentation team. We're looking for someone with a strong background in flood documentation, collateral, and UCC filings. Title: Paralegal II Location: 2-3 days/week onsite in Greenwood Village/DTC Type: 12-month contract W2 Note: Not a part-time contract, full-time hours expected Job Description: This consultant performs varied legal, title, abstract, and other necessary research to assist attorneys and supervisors with the performance of corporate and transactional legal work. Assists in the preparation of legal, loan, and collateral documentation, analyses and opinions. Reviews documents and data for accuracy and required compliance. Essential Functions: Assists in drafting and review of basic legal, loan and collateral documentation, correspondence and opinions. Perfects collateral according to state statutes and maintains perfection of collateral to include extensions, amendments, and continuations as needed. Orders UCC lien searches for verification and determination of lien position. Reviews, analyzes and organizes title commitments, abstracts, policies submitted to Client, exception documents and other due diligence items, including but not limited to surveys. Recommends title objections and title endorsements, and communicates objections and recommendations to the title company, collateral associates and transaction teams; manages resolution of title and other due diligence issues. Obtains and reviews organizational documents. Completes signatory authority reviews, prepares borrower and guarantor resolutions. Performs follow up, tracking and maintenance of updated organizational documents. Assists in drafting, updating and maintenance of standard loan documentation language and templates and mortgage templates. Reviews collateral records and cross-references to documents to ensure accuracy of data and tracking. Maintains and organizes legal files and legal electronic database, legal training materials and manuals. Assists in research mortgage law to keep mortgage review binders current. Assists in drafting procedures and guidance. Performs legal research, including but not limited to cite checking. Summarizes research results and recommends appropriate courses of action. Assists in performance of general corporate support functions as required. Performs custodial duties and audits for the note files and other specific types of personal property files held in records. Inputs and maintains tracking of collateral and insurance. Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations relating to flood insurance.
