Job Summary: The Aerial Construction Foreman will perform duties related to the construction, repair and upgrade of telecommunications/cable systems in an outside plant environment. Responsibilities : Leads on various size projects. Ensures accuracy of time sheets and expense reports Develops work-around procedures for maintaining crew productivity during delays caused by other trades, customers, lack of materials, absenteeism, etc. Monitors Quality Assurance and ensures work meets customer specification and industry standards. Ensures safety practices are observed by all crews during their work. Install and repair aerial telecommunications cable. Safely use hand tools and equipment such as wrenches, drills, ladders, lanyards, saws, lashers, climbing hooks, and more. Safely operate mechanized equipment such as bucket trucks, digger derricks, excavators, and more. Setting up safety perimeter using signage, cones, safety barriers Perform duties according to industry standards. Effectively be able to read area maps. Effectively and accurately record daily production on job site maps. Acquire necessary materials and inventory from warehouse. Qualifications: All positions require participation in the federally compliant FMSCA drug and alcohol testing program. This includes both pre-employment and ongoing random testing. 5 years' demonstrated experience in a similar role with the telecommunications construction industry Knowledge of Installation of aerial and underground cables and/or support members in conformance with all applicable codes, regulations, and customer specifications (NEC Electrical Code, System and/or City Specifications). Must be experienced in all aspects of overhead aerial fiber construction. Must have experience running a crew of 4 to 5. Certified pole climber or capable of demonstrating proficiency as a pole climber. Excellent time management and multitasking skills Effectively communicate with management and team members Ability to work in an outdoor environment during all times of the year. Ability to lift and operate necessary materials, tools, and equipment. Able to lift/carry 50 lbs. regularly and up to 75 lbs. as needed with or without assistance. Authorized to work in the United States for this company. Have a valid standard Driver's License Valid CDL-A is strongly desired.
