Front Desk Receptionist / Patient Relations Coordinator

We are seeking a full-time front desk receptionist to support the administrative functions of our concierge primary care practice. A successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and will consistently deliver an extremely high level of caring and empathetic customer service. The front desk role supports a variety of administrative duties including provider and patient relations, scheduling, billing, referral management, and telephone triage. The position requires good judgment, initiative, independent thinking, and problem solving in a team-oriented environment. The role is the primary point of contact for the patients both on the phone and as they enter our clinic. Qualifications – The skills and experience we need: •Welcoming and empathetic attitude at all times •Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills •Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment •Well spoken, neatly dressed, punctual and professional always •Strong attention to detail, demonstrated ability to follow-through, and high degree of comfort with computer applications, accuracy, and speed with data entry •Experience with EPIC (or other EMR) preferred •Minimum of five years of prior experience in healthcare and familiarity with medical terminology •More important than the best skills, is the right person with the right attitude Responsibilities – How you’ll contribute: •Act as first point of contact to all patients and their families •Warmly greet all patients and visitors to the office •Take time to get to know all patients and their families •Manage front desk check in and check out processes and patient flow into clinic •Answer the phone and schedule appointments •Learn all policies and procedures regarding enrollment in the concierge practice •Answer questions from patients and their families and assist in the enrollment process •Perform any and all administrative duties in direct support of our physicians, including, but not limited to: coordinating and scheduling meetings, drafting communications, phone triage, fax management, updating and scanning medical records, prescription refill requests, patient check-in/check-out, insurance verification and prior-authorization, and physician schedule management •Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients •Support and promote excellence in customer service •Support and provide back up to other administrative and clinical staff as needed •Keep confidential information about doctor and patients.
