Real Estate Paralegal A leading law firm is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Real Estate Paralegal to join their dynamic team. This role supports a busy Real Estate practice group and offers an opportunity to work on a variety of sophisticated transactions in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Title, Survey, and Zoning: Review and summarize title exception documents; draft title objection letters for acquisitions. Negotiate and finalize pro forma title insurance policies (lender and owner, including UCC policies). Review and update surveys with surveyors. Coordinate zoning reports and revisions with consultants. Prepare estoppel certificates, SNDAs, and settlement statements. Organizational Documents: Draft, review, and file entity formation and organizational documents. Obtain EINs and file qualifications for entities to conduct business in multiple states. Coordinate with service providers for independent directors and process agents. Transaction Support: Assist with loans and purchase/sale transactions by organizing documents, preparing exhibits, and finalizing items for closing. Conduct lien and judgment searches; compile closing checklists. Oversee closing duties, including signature coordination and document assembly. Closing and Post-Closing Tasks: File UCC-1 financing statements and related amendments or terminations. Coordinate with title companies for recording and policy issuance. Prepare and distribute closing binders. Miscellaneous Support: Participate in checklist calls and ensure all tasks are completed on schedule. Organize due diligence materials and assist with client portal management. Qualifications Minimum of five (5) years of paralegal experience, with substantial exposure to commercial real estate and/or real estate lending. Proficiency in reviewing and preparing real estate-related documents, including contracts, title policies, and organizational documents. Must meet California statutory paralegal requirements. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment. High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other legal technology tools. Education Bachelor's degree preferred; paralegal certification required.
