About the Company : Our client is a well-established real estate investment firm based in Miami, specializing in acquiring, developing, and managing a diverse portfolio of properties. The firm is seeking to add a skilled and motivated Real Estate Attorney to their legal team to support the firm’s growing operations and portfolio. Position Overview : The Real Estate Attorney will work directly alongside the firm’s General Counsel to provide comprehensive legal support for the firm’s real estate investments, transactions, and operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth within a dynamic and expanding firm, and it is ideal for a candidate with at least 2 years of experience in real estate law. Key Responsibilities : Review, negotiate, and draft a wide range of real estate agreements, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, financing documents, joint venture agreements, and development contracts. Provide legal counsel and risk analysis on real estate acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, and development projects. Assist in structuring and documenting complex real estate transactions, including those involving both commercial and residential properties. Conduct due diligence in connection with acquisitions and financings, including title and survey review, zoning, and regulatory compliance. Advise the firm’s management team on various legal matters related to real estate law, including land use, zoning, environmental regulations, and property management. Collaborate with external counsel, title companies, and other third parties to resolve legal issues as they arise during transactions and project execution. Support the firm’s ongoing compliance efforts and assist in the preparation and review of corporate governance documents, policies, and procedures. Handle real estate litigation matters in collaboration with outside counsel, if needed. Qualifications : Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to the Florida Bar. Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing real estate law, with a focus on transactions, leasing, acquisitions, and finance. Strong understanding of real estate law, including contract law, property law, title, and zoning issues. Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex real estate contracts and agreements. Experience with real estate due diligence, regulatory compliance, and land use issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
