As the Head of Publications (Executive Director) you will lead a team of publication managers and writers. We strive to ensure the quality and timely execution of publication projects while driving innovative approaches enabling broad scientific share of voice. We will deliver strategic development and targeted delivery of clinical and HEOR global publications across all therapeutic areas. This will be across the life span of our assets in a heavily matrixed and scientifically interdependent environment. We have the need to drive a vision for the future that will involve creating efficiencies, showing tangible impact and measurement beyond traditional metrics and transcend beyond typical channels of communication. This position is located in Sleepy Hollow, NY and will require you to be on-site for a minimum of 3 days/week. We do not have a fully remote option for this position. A typical day may include the following: Establish a clear, viable, and compelling strategy for the Publications team ensuring delivery of timely and high-quality medical publications and congress presentations. Own the pull-through and execution of all Publications plans ensuring alignment to the Scientific Communication Platform (SCP). Collaborate and provide sound publication strategy guidance by instilling strong partnership with Clinical Development and Medical Affairs Leads. Drive efficiencies and consistency in the publication process and management across all Drive the use of digital technology and evolution of templates, processes and tools in documenting and managing publication plans. Lead the way for enhanced utilization of systems, operating procedures, capabilities to promote agile working. Continually drive awareness of the Publication team capabilities and processes in a non-complex way to instill the importance and the value by training internal collaborators and present to medical teams updates in processes or innovative capabilities. Ensure the Regeneron Medical Affairs portal (external self-service HCP site) is updated regularly with the most current congress (posters, abstracts, presentations) and Manuscripts. Decrease complexity and create efficiency. Oversee Regenerons cross-functional publication teams and the development, management, and execution of the Medical Publication Plans. This includes the development and submission of clinical manuscripts, abstracts, and scientific meeting presentations- across therapeutic areas and assets. Drive innovative approaches to publication assets not limited to digital publications and other advanced communication solutions (i.e.: social media, Omnichannel) Provide guidance and oversight of publication vendor management ensuring appropriate cost model is optimized to ensure accurate forecasting of publication budget. Ensure that scientific rigor, quality writing and innovative publication initiatives continue to be integrated into strategies. Can create a climate in which people want to do their best and can motivate your teams and or project members. To be considered a doctorate level education is required: PharmD, MD or PhD. A minimum of 15 years experience working in the biotech and/or pharmaceutical industry, medical communications, or publications management. At least 5-7 years must have been spent in independently leading cross-functional publication teams. Experience across different therapeutic areas including General Medicines and Oncology is preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. Must embrace innovation and creativity and exhibit problem-solving skills. Exemplary professional interaction with internal collaborators and external authors is expected. Understanding of Good Publication Practices and guidance (GPP, ICMJE), Sunshine Act, Pharma Code of Conduct.
