Tact Staff is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Wilmington, North Carolina. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Cardiac Stepdown Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/09/2024 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Travel rate is available for local travelers if their start date is on or before 12/16. RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR. REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: Minimum Years of Experience: 2 Traveler Experience: NOT REQUIRED Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes Skills: Telemetry AND PCU/DOU/IMC/StepdowN experience. Interpretation of dysrhythmias and remote monitoring required. Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery, and Sheath Removal experience required. Accessing ports, Blood Product Administration, central Line/care management, PICC line management, Cardiac drip-titrate Diltiazem and Amiodarone, Post cardiac cath experience Certs: ACLS PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: NIH, Charge experience JOB DETAILS: Ratios: 1:6-7 Shift: NIGHT 3x12-Hour 36 hrs ONLY. Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the unit through the holidays RTO: 7 days MAX; Float Requirement: YES REQUIRED Weekend Requirement: 5-6 weekend shifts (equates to every other weekend) Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed. PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Congestive Heart Failure; Arrhythmias; Post cardiac Cath SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Unit monitors cardiac patients. Cardiac Drips (Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, Dopamine, etc). Sheaths Pulls, TR Bands, Femstop UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR SCHEDULING TYPE: Self UNIT ORIENTATION: 24 hours SCRUBS: Navy INTERNAL NOTES MUST Pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty.
