Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Based in Hollywood, FL, Sintavia, LLC designs and additively manufactures critical components for the Aerospace, Defense, & Space industry. We are seeking a career-minded individual for the position of Supplier Quality Engineer– Additive Manufacturing, preferably someone who is looking for long-term growth and potential. Being a team player is a must SUMMARY: Manufacturing Engineer responsible for developing end to end Additive Manufacturing production plans in support of Additive Manufacturing product development and production projects. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and maintain manufacturing post-processing documentation including: Manufacturing routers Work Instructions Machining plans Manufacturing process workflows and documentation Coordinate with Project engineering and Additive engineer during early phases of project to ensure successful contract reviews. Evaluate customer models, drawings, and statement of work to assess part manufacturability. Design tools and fixtures for machining, heat treating and any other post processing as required. Work with quality and other engineering stakeholders to create inspections plans. Identify outside service providers for post processing requirements outside of Sintavia’s expertise. Manipulate/modify additive design files in Siemens NX as required for adequate post-processing. Collaborate with machine operators, design engineers and quality to identify and implement process improvements in the manufacturing process. Promptly responds to technical issues arising on the productions floor. Support installation of new post-processing machines as required. Interpret mechanical and metallurgical test results as related to customer requirements. Thermal heat treatments and hot isostatic press processing of AM parts to refine and improve performance of critical components used in aerospace and defense. Provide the technical support in transitioning AM component(s) into production: process flow, process maps, dimensional variation, process capability, post processing operations, operations sheets. Ability to acquire 3D data using modern and traditional tools (White/Blue light scanning) Ability to interpret part inspection reports (CT scans, X-ray, Blue light Scans, Coordinate Measuring Machine) to determine part conformance and necessary adjustments. Comply with company policies, facility procedures and processes. Possess an open mind and innovative mentality to lead development of cutting-edge technology. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in a technical or related field required. Demonstrated ability to balance department efficiency and service excellence. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills including ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectively. Demonstrated interpersonal, collaborative, and relationship-building skills; ability to interact positively with teammates at various levels across the company and customers. Demonstrated ability to work well with cross-functional groups. Self-motivated, able to multi-task, and detail oriented. Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Must be able to learn procedures quickly and be a team player. Able to maintain a professional demeanor and a polished professional appearance. Background checks and Drug Screenings will be completed on all candidates considered for hire. REQUIREMENTS: At least 7 years of experience in the Manufacturing field Prior experience with CAD design Software Easily adapt to new organizations / technical environments Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external project stakeholders. Working knowledge of the function and operation of post processing machinery Advance GD&T knowledge PREFERRED: Aerospace experience Previous Additive Manufacturing Experience Experience using Siemens NX, Team Center and Op Center Previous experience working with CNC operation, programming, and machining of Additive manufactured components. Prior experience with Process Capability analysis Prior experience with post-processing technologies relevant to Additive Manufacturing. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Frequently required to sit, walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl. Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard. Frequently required to lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds.
