Job Summary The Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for overseeing an organizations’ procurement process to ensure cost efficiency, supplier quality, and long-term value. The role is critical for ensuring that we obtain the best possible value from our suppliers while maintaining high standards of quality and risk management. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Strategic Sourcing Manager must have strong leadership skills and be able to effectively motivate their team to achieve company goals. This position generally reports to the Director of Operations and typically has between 2-5 direct reports. Key Job Responsibilities: • Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies aligned with company goals. • Analyze industry trends to ensure the business is positioned for success with products that support key growth initiatives. • Analyze and optimize all stages of the supply chain, from sourcing materials to deliveries. • Collaborate with various departments, including sales, legal, operations, and finance, to ensure robust supply agreements. • Manage inventory levels and implement effective inventory control measures. • Establish supplier grading criteria and audit the supplier to the corresponding criteria on a consistent basis. • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable terms and pricing. • Implement and maintain supply chain management systems and technologies. • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop strategies for continuous improvement. • Lead and mentor a team of supply chain and procurement professionals. • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards (ex: conflict material usage). • Develop and implement a proactive vendor relationship management strategy. • Other duties as assigned. In the case of conflict between the information listed and the official plan documents, the plan documents will always govern Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field, MBA preferred. • 5 years of experience in supply chain management, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role. • Experienced with electrical industry and products. • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful supply chain strategies. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent leadership and team management abilities. • Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems. • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills. • Experience with data analysis and forecasting techniques. • Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in supply chain management. • Expertise in Supply Chain IT systems (Supply Chain Management / Manufacturing Resource Planning) a plus. • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to organize his/her own work and work independently, with limited supervision. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft TEAMS platforms. • Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with diverse needs, and across remote offices. • Ability to clearly articulate ideas (both written and verbal) to both internal and external customers and to listen effectively. • Ability to develop and maintain strong workplace relationships with an emphasis on customer satisfaction. • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments toward the greater good of the organization. • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. • Requires up to 50% travel.
