Senior Environmental Project Manager/Scientist: Excellent senior level, professional growth opportunity for well motivated, organized individual with a desire to assist in managing an Environmental Consulting business. Candidates must have a degree in engineering, geology, environmental sciences, chemistry, biology or related area for consideration. They should qualify as an Environmental Professional, as defined by ASTM Practice E-1527-21 and 40 CFR.10 based on education and experience. Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist registration a plus. Candidate must live and have practiced in this field in southeast Florida currently or have done so in the recent past. Candidates are required to have several years experience preparing Phase I, II Environmental Site Assessments, Site Assessment Reports, limited Remedial actions in Florida. The Senior Project Manager prepares proposals, budgets, assists in marketing, directs and trains project managers and technical field staff and and is responsible for final review of technical progress and completion reports on projects. Serves as the liaison between regulatory agency members, client representatives and assigned staff members. The senior level job tasks will include performing and supervising the following: Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA's), primarily in Southeast Florida. Development of sampling plans and proposals for and completion of Phase II ESA's. Preparation of Site Assessment Reports, and design and implementation of various remedial strategies to pursue NFA or NFAC in accordance with Contaminated Site Cleanup Criteria as listed in Chapter 62-780, Florida Administrative Code. Performance and completion of petroleum storage tank closure assessments, preparation of dewatering plans for projects involving contaminated sites, and various soil, groundwater and surface water assessment/monitoring reports. The position requires the candidate to be reliable, detail oriented with excellent time management, English communication and technical writing skills. A minimum of five years of experience in the performance of the above assessments, related technical writing, communication and data evaluation are required. Technical knowledge of and extensive experience with relevant ASTM Practices, Chapter 62-780, FAC and other applicable contaminant-related DEP and Southeast Florida county regulations are required.
