The Lead Application Integration Developer role plays a strategic part in architecting and designing applications and leading the integration of their respective in-house applications, databases, and systems with third-party applications. The incumbent oversees the communication between the Application Integration team and department/division application owners to maintain key application data and continuously assess and communicate the application architecture to stakeholders. The incumbent will drive the implementation of best practices around the design, development, and deployment of integration patterns utilizing cloud-native integration platforms and technologies. The incumbent will be responsible for leading the development and maintenance of integrations within our Digital Integration Layer Integration ecosystem. As a seasoned technical expert in application integrations, this role involves leading the collaboration between the Application Integration team and the Integration Architects to design and develop integrations using modern integration patterns Provide strategic direction and oversight for the design and implementation of integration solutions within the Digital Integration layer for in-house and cloud business applications, databases, and systems Oversee the troubleshooting of complex integration issues to ensure a seamless integration of applications and systems, and provide guidance to team as needed Establish and share strategic perspective when collaborating with cross-functional teams (i.e., Product Owner, DevOps Engineers, business leaders) to identify and build integration solutions to support business needs Lead and guide the development of integration flows and APIs using middleware tools ensuring that best practices are followed, standards are maintained, and objectives are met Work closely with the architecture community to continuously evolve and improve the API strategy while providing guidance to the team implementing the strategy Provide overall strategy and guidance for the configuration and maintenance of middleware infrastructure to support application integrations and ensure high availability and performance Manage technical support for integration-related issues by developing and implementing support strategies, as well as analyze data to identify trends and continuously improve support processes Direct and oversee the documentation of integration solutions, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and sustainability Education Required Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field. In lieu of a degree, at least 12 years of experience in the field of Application Integration or Information Technology Preferred Certification in Collibra or other Data Cataloging/Metadata Management platforms Knowledge & Experience 6-8 years of experience in application integrations and middleware development such as Rest and Graph QL API development Experience with event-driven architectures and systems preferably in a cloud environment Outstanding technical skills in integration technologies, APIs, and web services Experience in enterprise-grade integrations, data mapping, and transformation Experience in the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-level architecture (preferably, both on-prem and cloud) Expertise in agile methodologies and SDLC Experience in domain driven design in a distributed service environment Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills Experience with iPaaS platforms Excellent communication and collaboration skills Technical Skills System Configuration Solution Analysis Integration Technology Microservices, Web Services & APIs Web Technology and Protocols Database Management Systems Operating Systems Software Development Lifecyle (SDLC) Methodology Preferred Collibra Data
