Our Client is a growing public accounting firm based out of Coral Gables and is looking for career-minded professionals within the accounting industry. We are looking for individuals who have tax experience and want to take their career to the next level by joining our tax team. We have been growing the last few years and are now a firm of about 80 people, so there are plenty of opportunities for mentorship, growth and technical development. THE SKILL SET 3 years of full-time public accounting experience with exposure to international tax concepts, including Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, BEAT, foreign tax credit calculations, and international reporting and compliance. Experience with Forms 5471, 5472, 8865, 8858, 8938, 8621, 1116, 1118, and FINCEN114. Knowledge of Sec 962 election and High Tax Exception. Great tax research experience and skills. Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships. Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, to represent the Firm well to client's management. Ability to manage multiple engagements and complete projects in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment. Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills and strong attention to detail. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. A PLUS IF YOU HAVE 4 years of experience in international tax, with experience leading multiple engagements Proficient with CCH ProSystems FX tax, QuickBooks, and/or RIA Checkpoint Master's in Tax CPA license WITHIN 1 MONTH, YOU'LL Complete new hire orientation and onboarding. Complete introductory training. Begin learning our tax software, as well as undergo a Quickbooks refresher. Begin growing your internal network by meeting with Supervisors, Managers, and Partners. WITHIN 6 MONTHS, YOU'LL Prepare and/or assist with complex, international tax returns for clients in diverse industries. Make recommendations on return preparation regarding accuracy and tax savings opportunities. Engage clients in tax planning and calculation of estimated tax payments. Researching and preparing materials for consulting projects related to tax planning considerations. Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities. WITHIN 12 MONTHS, YOU'LL Managing international tax engagements from start to finish, including planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects, managing the budget, and meeting deadlines and client expectations. Assist in training and mentoring associates on client engagements. Review work of less experienced staff and share knowledge to develop staff technical skills. Anticipate and address client concerns and escalating problems as they arise.
