A mental health clinic is seeking a child and adolescent psychiatric nurse practitioner for locum tenens coverage. Bronx, New York is the birthplace of hip-hop culture. Its also home to some major attractions including the Bronx Museum of the Arts, the oldest public golf course in the country (Van Cortlandt), Edgar Allan Poe Cottage, Americas first zoo and NYCs sprawling botanical gardens. We are seeking coverage for 40 hours per week or at least two part-time providers working 19 hours each. Onsite coverage is preferred due to reimbursement requirements; however, a hybrid model may be considered if necessary. There is no on-call requirement for this position. Providers will use eClinicalWorks (eCW) as the EMR system. This outpatient setting primarily operates by appointment, though walk-ins are accommodated as needed. The cancellation rate ranges from 25-30%, and while no-shows are typically not filled with walk-ins, efforts are made to use those slots for patients seeking earlier appointments. Initial evaluations are scheduled for 45-60 minutes, while medication checks and follow-ups are set for 15-30 minutes.
