Staff Accountant

We are currently seeking an Staff Accountant to fill a vacant position with one of our Client, located in Agoura Hills, CA. Job Description Responsible for all Accounts Payable functions for the company including but not limited to obtaining approvals, supporting documents and checking for accuracy of coding. Weekly processing of payments, including manual checks and check runs. Maintain vendor accounts, address and respond to payment inquiries. Month end close of journal entries which includes monthly accruals, advance payment reconciliations, cost transfers and pre payments. Assist the Senior Accountant with reconciling the lease payments utilizing iLease software. Monthly balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations as assigned. Work with Human Resources to complete the monthly payroll-related entries. Assist in the yearly budget. Process and review employee expense reports and reconcile the ending balances. Maintain and update related audit schedules and assist with the year-end audit. Responsible for bank deposits, petty cash, wire transfers, Gift-in-Kind processing. Act as back up for Senior Accountant. Skills Required Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business. 5 years accounting experience. Knowledge of GAAP. Strong sense of confidentiality. Competency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Adobe.
