Join Apple, and help us leave the world better than we found it. The iOS Car Experience team gives customers smarter, safer ways to use iPhone in the car. We craft solutions like CarPlay and Do Not Disturb While Driving, and we also partner with a broad multi-functional team inside Apple to deliver experiences such as digital car key. We work hand-in-hand with automakers worldwide to integrate features into nearly every new vehicle shipping today, features that drivers love and use every day. We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated developer with 3 years experience in application development to design and develop in-vehicle Apple experiences of the future. Description In this position, you will be responsible for implementing features built in to the operating system that power in-car features such as CarPlay. This includes the design and implementation itself in both system apps and supporting frameworks. You’ll work closely with our design team crafting the user experiences our users depend on on a daily basis. You’ll also deep dive into our code base, optimizing the size and performance of applications and frameworks, and drive the quality high by fixing bugs. You will interact with the brightest minds in the industry and tackle some of the most demanding problems. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent job-related experience. 3 years of object-oriented programming experience in Objective-C or Swift Key Qualifications Preferred Qualifications UI programming experience in UIKit or SwiftUI Creativity and passion for design Comfortable with a large code base, dynamic working environments, and tight schedules Strong debugging and analytical skills Experience developing multi-threaded and/or multi-process systems using IPC is beneficial Experience developing software with any of the following frameworks is a plus: CarPlay, CoreLocation, CoreMedia, MediaPlayer Education & Experience Additional Requirements Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $121,900 and $214,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
