Job Title: Audit Consultant - SOX Testing Location: Remote Hourly Pay: $55 W2 depending on experience Jefferson Wells is seeking an experienced Audit Consultant to support a SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) testing engagement. This is a fully remote role offering flexibility while being part of a dynamic team that ensures financial and operational compliance with SOX requirements. Candidates must possess a strong background in auditing and internal controls. Key Responsibilities: Lead and perform SOX testing, including control evaluations, walkthroughs, and substantive testing. Assess and document the effectiveness of internal controls in alignment with SOX compliance requirements. Identify control gaps, potential risks, and provide recommendations for improvements. Collaborate with management and stakeholders to resolve issues and implement corrective actions. Provide documentation, workflow management, and audit reporting. Prepare detailed workpapers and audit reports to ensure accuracy and compliance. Ensure adherence to deadlines and project timelines in a remote environment. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in SOX testing, internal audit, or risk management. Strong understanding of SOX compliance, internal controls, and risk assessment methodologies. Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a fully remote setting.
