Adecco Creative and Marketing is recruiting a Packaging Designer for our client, an American multinational off-price department store corporation. The Packaging Designer plays a key role in delivering innovative, trend-forward brand packaging solutions that support the evolution of our global businesses and brands. As the creative lead for packaging and branding across select categories, you will manage supplier relationships to ensure the highest quality and timely delivery. Collaborating closely with Product Development and Buyers, you will help create successful, on-brand packaging solutions that resonate with target markets. You’ll also direct internal and external design teams to execute cohesive, trend-right branding. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of trend-forward brand packaging across a variety of home product categories. Collaborate with Product Development and Merchandising teams to identify packaging needs that align with lifestyle trends for each product category. Work alongside Senior Product Development Managers, Trend Teams, and Divisional Managers to create impactful and cohesive brand packaging. Oversee vendor relationships and manage packaging quality through a structured approval process, ensuring deadlines are consistently met. Design and direct packaging solutions for a wide range of products (boxes, hangtags, labels, etc.). Manage and prioritize the work of designers, freelancers, and contractors in design execution and content creation. Lead projects from concept to completion, ensuring all components are approved and successfully executed before production. Maintain a strict adherence to timelines, while ensuring print, color, and construction standards meet brand and quality specifications. Oversee photography requirements for packaging, directing photo styling, ensuring quality control, and meeting timeline requirements. Collaborate with Legal and Trademark teams to ensure all brand names and trademarks are properly researched and protected. Take on special projects as needed to support department and organizational goals. Required Skills & Qualifications: BFA or related degree in design (preferred). 5-8 years of design experience, with a strong background in packaging design. Proven ability to manage and lead multi-disciplinary design teams or individual designers. Experience guiding stakeholders through the design process, maintaining brand integrity and delivering impactful solutions. Ability to think across multiple platforms, integrating product design, merchandising, and brand communication strategies. Strong leadership skills to influence change and drive creative vision. In-depth knowledge of design and cultural trends, with a keen eye for cohesive design solutions. Excellent sense of color, typography, and style. Outstanding organizational, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and perform well under pressure. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and supporting office software.
