Onsite only. Background check will be conducted before onboarding. Position Description and Job Skill Set: MDES is seeking one (1) senior analyst/developer with experience in .NET applications. The contractor will work in the state office with existing MDES technical team members to provide maintenance, enhancements, and support to the agency's current applications. The contractor may also be required for designing, developing, and enhancing additional applications as requested. Tasks required will be: (1) Serve as technical Microsoft .NET developer for MDES, (2) maintain, support, and develop enhancements to the MDES Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL) application, (3) Assist the MDES technical team supporting the functions required under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Skills/Experience .Net Development & Support: SME Minimum 10 Years (Required) .Net Visual Studio: SME Minimum 10 Years (Required) Record Locking Development & experience: SME 5 years (Preferred) Application Level Security: SME 5 Years (Preferred) System and user level auditing: SME 5 years (preferred) SQL Server Database Administration: SME 5 Years (preferred) Design and produce queries for quarterly, yearly and adhoc reports required by US Department of Labor, Legislature, and State and local partners Data Modelling: SME 5 years (preferred) Technical/Business Problem Set Microsoft server operating systems including Windows 2008 (preferred) Project Management Professional (preferred) MS Server Operating Systems including Windows 2008 (preferred) JavaScript (preferred) Crystal Reports and Reporting Software (preferred) Problem/application resolutions for end users (preferred) Object oriented programming, mainframe programming, and cross system data exchanges (preferred) Document and troubleshoot current web and network security issues and certificate authorities (preferred) Experience with Mississippi Department of Finance and Administration Accounting Software and MAGIC/PayMode, including interfaces with MAGIC (vendor payment system) (preferred) QA/Testing - Approaches and Applications Create and main testing environment and data when needed for testing (Preferred) Coordinate QA User Testing activities among various state and local parties (preferred)
