Then you are in the right placestart the application process today Summary of Position Functions The Project Accountant position is a fast-paced, rewarding position where the individual will be working in all faucets of the business. This is a hybrid role (75mi Radius to the Office) where the individual will be expected to report to the Columbus, OH Office certain days and will have the ability to work remotely as mutually agreed upon with the Supervisor. Under the direction of the Veregy East Regional Controller, this individual will be counted on to monitor, review and update project-specific cost impacts and help identify any risks along with other general accounting duties within the East Region. This role works in conjunction with Operations and Accounting. Project Accountant Duties The Project Accountant undertakes and performs a variety of project support tasks and assignments to support office and field work performed by one or more Project Managers, Senior Project Managers and/or others as assigned. Review and entry of job estimates into accounting software. Prepare and commit service, consultant/professional, purchase order and contract agreements - both owner and subcontractor. Collect, review and approve insurance certificates, W-9's, and subcontract compliance documents. Assist with the Review AIA and Accounts Payable billings for each project, request revisions as needed, approve for payment, and manage consequential job cost. Process client billing per project-based schedule of values and projections, record and maintain accounts receivable. Assist with compliance for our clientele and subcontractors, Project Kick-Off, estimate reviews, attend jobsite meetings, conduct jobsite tours and perform other jobsite functions, as needed. Manage, review and approve wage rates and certified payroll reporting by state and Davis-Bacon, when applicable. Prepare credit applications and maintain/collect various tax forms as needed. Manage all incoming and external change orders in Viewpoint in conjunction with the project management team. Prepare and manage job cost reporting per project assignment while working in detail with the project and regional teams. Coordinates Performance and Payment Bonds and Certificates of Insurance, as required by individual projects. Close out projects for final cost status and warranty in conjunction with the project management team. Assist project management, updates monthly job cost projections into Viewpoint for use in monthly WIP reviews. Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines, deliverables and other requirements. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with co-workers, vendors, customers, the public and others having business with Veregy. Collect, sort and properly record incoming AR payments. Collect, sort and properly distribute outgoing AP payments. Collect, sort and properly distribute incoming/outgoing mail. Non-Essential Position Functions Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities None at this time. Skills Knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices. Ability to operate a personal computer utilizing a variety of Office 365 programs and/or specialized/customized software applications.
