Location: Aurora, CO Job Type: Full-Time Salary: $75,000 - $80,000/yr Reports to : Director of Information Technology Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled IT Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects within strict deadlines and budget constraints. This role involves acquiring resources, coordinating team efforts, and managing third-party contractors or consultants. The IT Project Manager will serve as a liaison between business and technical aspects, aligning projects with needs and requirements, constructing detailed project plans, achieving milestones, and communicating progress to the IT Director and Executive Management Team. The candidate must be highly responsive to priority changes and thrive in a fast-paced environment, leading complex, cross-functional, high-impact technology projects. Role Overview The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of the IT Director, other team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. Key Responsibilities Project Planning and Initiation: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with management as well as other staff members. Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools. Resource Management: Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path. Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel. Execution and Monitoring: Direct and manage project development from beginning to end. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans. IT Director and Executive Management Team Reporting: Effectively communicate project expectations to IT Director and Exec Mgmt Team in a timely and clear fashion. Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team. Quality Assurance: Conduct project post-mortems and create recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements. Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management. Desired Qualities and Behaviors: Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Solid technical background with hands-on experience in software development, cloud technologies, and ERP systems preferred. Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Monday.com, etc.). Minimum of 5 years of IT project management experience. Experience in requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, and documentation. Experience in systems analysis, design, testing, and integration.
