Responsible for the daily leadership and coordination of installation crew, material, deliveries & equipment for a given project. JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking an experienced Utility Foreman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and overseeing utility installations, including excavation, trenching, and various types of underground utilities. This role requires a hands-on approach and a deep understanding of construction processes related to utilities. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide Leadership and coordination for project crew. Responsible for manpower & equipment planning and daily requests to equipment logistics and manpower managers. Responsible for efficient manpower and equipment utilization on the project. Planning work ahead. Coordination with the owner/construction manager/General Contractor in daily activities. Project quality control. Responsibility for project safety and safety procedures on a day-to-day basis. Responsibility for daily time reporting of field crews. Execution of Project installation and sequencing plan. Leadership of Daily paperwork execution (THA/Toolbox Talks/Dig Permits/etc.). Responsible for utilization and understanding of mapping information & utility locations prior to digging. Recognition of project scope change. Accurate tracking & recording of materials, deliveries, trucking and subcontractor work electronically. Document daily construction activities and subcontractor performance electronically. Participate in the creation of short-term construction schedules as required. Maintain a thorough understanding of contract drawings and details. Review of project drawings for constructability issues/conflicts. Schedule subcontractor and vendor activities directly (i.e., layout, material deliveries, etc.). Responsible for calling work due to weather & contact crew as necessary. Inform Superintendent and Client. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of 7 years of experience in the construction Industry. 3 years of proven experience as a Foreman or similar role. In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA safety guidelines. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Excellent problem-solving abilities. MEETING EXPECTATIONS: Quarterly Company Safety Meetings. Project Foreman Meetings. Start-Up / Kick-Off Meetings w/Project Manager and General Foreman. The pay rate for this role in California is from $46 - $62.46 per hour. The base pay actually offered follows the minimum wage from the pay scale agreed upon in the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement and may also vary depending on the candidate's work location, experience, and skills.
