Job Title: Head Sommelier Location: Osaka Miami, Florida Job Description: Osaka Miami is seeking an experienced and passionate Head Sommelier to lead our wine and sake program. In this role, you will curate a premium wine and sake list, oversee inventory management, and develop strong relationships with suppliers. You will also be responsible for leading and mentoring the team, ensuring top-tier service, and creating memorable guest experiences. Your expertise will help drive the brand forward, as you organize exclusive events, develop new partnerships, and elevate the overall beverage program. Key Responsibilities: - Curate and manage an exceptional wine and sake list, ensuring quality and variety. - Oversee inventory, ordering, and stock management for optimal performance. - Lead, train, and mentor the sommelier and service teams to maintain exceptional service standards. - Develop and maintain relationships with premium wine and sake suppliers. - Create and recommend tailored wine and sake pairings for guests. - Organize wine and sake events to engage and excite customers. - Foster a positive, collaborative team environment while managing staff performance. Qualifications: - 5 years of experience as a Sommelier, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. - Strong knowledge of premium wines, sake, and beverage pairings. - Proven experience managing and leading a team, with excellent communication and mentorship skills. - Strong organizational skills, with a focus on inventory and quality control. - Certified sommelier (e.g., Court of Master Sommeliers, WSET, or similar). - Passionate about creating memorable guest experiences and fostering team growth.
