Sr. Technical Product Owner - Data Products ID 2429 Type Full-Time Summary The Sr. Technical Product Owner is a key member of the data platform team and is responsible for end-to-end delivery of innovative data products and solutions that would enable CommunityAmerica's vision of "Segment of One" member experience and strategic plans for growth and member well-being. Working at the intersection of business and technology, you'll interact with our multiple business partners to understand big picture business goals/objectives behind strategic roadmap initiatives, identify key functional capabilities needed to enable those goals, craft data driven technology solutions working with the development team, have a "Product" mindset to develop road maps & drive evolution of existing system functionality, and take ownership to ensure they achieve identified business outcomes. In this role we are looking for individuals who are passionate about data and have a proven track record of leveraging it to power intelligent, insightful, and impactful business outcomes. Duties & Responsibilities Develop strong working relationships with business & other stakeholders to understand strategic business goals, metrics, and improvement goals. Work with leadership to identify, align and prioritize Data initiatives to help achieve these goals. Develop Data Product capabilities & needs and ensure initiatives achieve the intended business value through strong ownership of outcomes. Translate high level business needs into well-defined requirements including features, epics, user stories, and acceptance test criteria. Develop understanding of data & Integrations across systems and drive requirements based on data availability. Create conceptual prototypes to communicate and gain approval for proposed solutions. Work with development teams following Agile Scrum processes to clearly articulate project goals and needs, define/design solutions, estimate project and features, and plan work into sprints. Partner with business & IT teams and ensure that they are collaboratively engaged in solution development and are adopting implemented solutions to realize intended business goals. Scale Self Service BI across the organization & partner with business leaders to create a data-driven decision-making culture. Promotes honest and open communication throughout the credit union. Demonstrate behaviors that are consistent with the credit union's values, philosophies, and leadership characteristics. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree Computer Science or related fields 7 years relevant experience required. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strategic business thinking with excellent problem-solving skills. Good experience with developing technology product and project road maps that deliver business value in an iterative fashion. Demonstrated ability to present analyses, business performance results and actionable recommendations to business and technical clients. Expert in understanding and analyzing data and using it to drive business insights and actions. 5 years of Data & Analytics solution architecture experience using cloud Data & analytics platforms with implementation of large-scale Data Warehouse and cloud Lakehouse. Experience with implementing integrations using ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory & SSIS. Proficient in programming languages (SQL, Python) and understanding visual analytics tools such as Tableau or Power BI. Must be motivated individual with strong analytical, problem solving, and root cause analysis skills. Logical, process-oriented thinker with a natural curiosity about technology. Must have ability to work on multiple, time-critical projects simultaneously. Thrives in ambiguous situations and find ways to move forward. Excellent verbal and written communication required, including presentation of complex information in easily understood ways. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Experience working with data platforms and data engineering teams. Experience creating prototypes using tool(s) like Figma Experience with Scrum Master responsibilities is a plus. Experience in banking or financial institutions with a strong background on supporting business partners.
