We are seeking experienced professionals to join our high-performing team in originating real estate structured credit products. Position Overview: The Managing Director, Real Estate Structured Credit - Originator, will play a key role in expanding our national portfolio by originating and structuring new business focused on multifamily bridge loans, preferred equity, and other structured finance products. This position is designed for an entrepreneurial, driven individual with a deep network in real estate finance, who thrives in a competitive environment and is motivated by performance-based incentives. Key Responsibilities: Origination: Identify and originate new bridge loans, preferred equity, and other structured credit products for multifamily, student housing, senior housing, and manufactured housing communities. Client Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with brokers, borrowers, institutional investors, and other stakeholders to build a robust pipeline of opportunities. Market Analysis: Monitor market conditions and stay abreast of industry trends to assess risk and identify emerging opportunities for structured real estate finance products. Deal Structuring: Lead negotiations on complex real estate finance transactions, structuring loans tailored to client needs, with deal sizes typically ranging from $3M to $15M. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the underwriting and deal teams to ensure seamless execution of transactions and manage the deal lifecycle from origination through closing. Networking: Attend relevant industry conferences and networking events to represent the firm. Key Qualifications: Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial real estate lending, structured finance, or capital markets with a focus on multifamily assets. Demonstrated track record of originating and closing bridge financing or structured credit deals in the $3M-$15M range. Strong relationships within the commercial real estate community, particularly with brokers and institutional investors. Deep understanding of market dynamics and financial structures, with the ability to underwrite to 80% LTC and up to 85% LTV on multifamily acquisitions. Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to manage high-stakes transactions with sophistication and urgency. Ability to be in the Beverly Hills office 2-3 days per week.
