Certification Details Required Certifications: NPR, BLS, ACLS, STABLE Do not take placenta previa or placenta accreta. Job Details A hospital in Southern Idaho is in need of an RN with 3 years of experience with Women's Services (L&D and PP) for a 13 week travel assignment. The nurses will be working 12 hour shifts. Ideal candidates must have 3 years experience with L&D, Post-Partum, and OR Circulation / Triage. Job Requirements Must have 3 years of L&D experience Must have mother baby experience- prefer 1 year Okay with a first-time traveler. Must have experience and be able to attend deliveries and complete 1 hour of newborn care, triage, Circulate C/S, and provide Postpartum Couplet Care. Must have experience with magnesium. Charge nurse experience preferred. RNs required to titrate drips: Yes Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Yes – Pitocin Protocol, Magnesium Protocol, Insulin drips (occasionally) Schedule Information Shifts & Scheduling: 7-7. Resource and Charge 0645-1845, 1845-0645. First schedule travelers will fill in the holes, the next schedule travelers can give preference and they will try to work with them but they will fit them in to the schedule around core staff. Unit Specific Information Do you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios?: Follow AWHONN Staffing Standards. 1:1 labor unless pairing 2 cervical ripening patients. Postpartum is 1:3 couplets care. Triage 1:3, if get up to 4pts will utilize Resource nurse Admin Supervisor on every shift. Charge RNs do not take an assignment. Also, have a resource RN and triage RN. Resource nurse and triage nurse may start the shift with no patients, triage does fill up quickly. Additional Details Travelers extend and come back. Have a no fingernail lacquer policy- do not allow acrylic or gel nails in the dept due to unique model- NICU embedded within 7 of LDRP rooms. Travel duos will need 2 cars, cannot do 1 car as they could be at different sites or float during shift.
