Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - General Surgery - $115 per hour

TheraEx Staffing Services - APP is seeking a Physician Assistant General Surgery for a locum tenens job in Portland, Oregon. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: General Surgery Discipline: Physician Assistant Start Date: 01/01/2025 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Locum Tenens Job Details: • Pay: $115 Hr. • Coverage: January 1, 2025 - March 31, 2025. • We are looking for about 1 week on/1 week off coverage starting in January. • Shifts for the APP's are 7a-3p, 11a-7p weekdays and 7a-3p shifts on the weekends. • The position is to help with ED on call coverage. Providers will be expected to be on call for the ED and during their shift complete surgeries and rotate doing post op consults. • If the provider is on call coverage and gets a call about an other urgent case, the APP be the first to be called to go assist and then the surgeon will join them. • Occasionally the APP does help with post op consults if the surgeon is stuck in a surgery. • The APP is there to assist the surgeon. There will be no clinic for this position. • Patients per shift: 7 • EMR: Epic • Credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days Requirements: • Active unrestricted OR License • Active AHA ACLS & BLS certifications • Minimum 3 years of experience • Board Certified • Full-time coverage is mandatory—no deviations from the requested schedule will be accepted. • Must be able to provide at least 2 supervisory references.
