Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Radiology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: Ongoing Employment Type: Per Diem Performs high quality/cost effective diagnostic procedures under the supervision of a Registered Staff Tech Assists Physicians and medical staff during procedures as requested/required Provides excellent customer service in an accurate and efficient manner Communicate effectively with patients, family members, Physicians, other medical staff and NMMC staff members Attends required in-services, annual review and educational programs Knowledgeable of procedures, positions, supplies, and equipment used in Radiological examinations Stay abreast of changes in Radiology Adheres to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines Complies with applicable Local/State/Federal policies/procedures/guideline/regulations/laws/statues All other duties as assigned. Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent; required Successful completion of 3 semesters of didactic and clinical competency requirements from an accredited Radiologic Technology program; required Registered or registry eligible by the American Radiologic Technologists within 6 months of accepting position; required (ARRT) Licensed or license eligible by the State of Mississippi within 6 months of accepting position; required (MRT) American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification; required Good written and verbal communication; required Interaction with a patient population of all ages ranging from neonates to geriatrics; required Serves patient population categories of infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.
