Job Duties: Design, create, implement, and manage predictive analytics that leverage large and varied mathematical datasets, both financial and non-financial. Use a wide range of analytical tools, methods and platforms in administering of predictive analytics. Work alongside engineers, product managers, sales managers and data scientists from across the organization to tackle complex business problems. Use our extensive data sources to provide both rapid solutions to urgent business questions as well as building products that serve internal/external clients. Maintain involvement in a wide range of proprietary and interesting data stores and apply existing methods or develop new methods of engagement. Engage in statistics and data analytics, collaborate with Bloomberg’s advanced visualization team, and educate others. Identify areas of interest to the business and help the team acquire the necessary data resources. Create and implement models with advanced analytical and financial tools. Design models to answer targeted business questions and drive change. Be hands on with populating data, conducting data analysis, and building dashboards that influence business decisions. Organize and analyze data to identify historical patterns to better position our team's workflows. Integrate and collaborate with other analysts on department wide dashboard initiatives. Research, develop, and implement new methods of extracting relevant data from a variety of sources. Collaborate and consult with business colleagues to better understand their domain. Design, prototype, and implement technical solutions using a combination of proprietary, third party and open-source technology to pursue complex business needs. Research user behavior through analysis of telemetry logs to support product management decision making. Requirements: Position requires a bachelor’s degree or the foreign equivalent in machine learning, computer science, statistical analysis, engineering, or related field, and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as a Quantitative Analyst, Data Analyst, Engineer, or related. Must have two (2) years of experience in each of the following skills: Big Data Systems (Hadoop and Spark), OR Pyspark and Pandas; SQL; Machine Learning Using Python; Relational databases; Git; Data visualization software tools (Qliksense, Tableau, and Power BI); And Testing and validating statistical hypotheses. Must have one (1) year of experience in each of the following skills: User research and user behavior analysis.Rate of pay: $175,000 - $240,000 / year. Minimum Salary: 175000 Maximum Salary: 240000 Salary Unit: Yearly
