Certification Details BLS certification required Job Details Position: CVOR RN 6210 Hospital: St Alexius Health Bismarck Medical Center Contract Length: 13 weeks Job Requirements 3 years of CVOR experience required Experience with Open Hearts, CABG, Valves essential Must be willing to cross train into general OR Must be willing to cross train into other specialties if CV volumes are low Schedule Information Shifts: 0645-1515 Monday-Friday Call schedule made by CV RNs as a group Weeknight Call: 1-2 times per week 1515-0645 Weekend Call: every 3-4 weeks Fri 1515-Mon 0645 Holiday Call: Rotating holidays Call response time: 15 minutes Sleep room available for post call Unit Specific Information Unit: CVOR Shift Supervisor: Charge Nurse for all shifts 7am-11pm M-F; weekends 7am-7pm; manager until 4pm M-F Number of CVOR suites: 2 Average number of cases per day: 1-3 Types of cases: Open hearts (CABG, Valve, aneurysms), thoracotomies, VATS, Convergent, AAA, carotids, robotic cases, ECMO, Impella 5.5, utilizing Stryker towers Orientation details: 3-4 days hospital clinical orientation, EPIC class, and unit orientation/modules; 4-5 days unit-based orientation; 2 buddy call shifts Orientation is flexible based on recent heart experience Additional Details Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility Candidates may not be currently working at any facility associated with CommonSpirit
