Certification Details BCLS Indiana State RN Licensure Job Details Effective 11/30/24, IU Health will not allow IN RN’s to work at their facilities (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW). The last day for IN RNs to start a NEW contract is 9/9 (they can finish a contract by 11/30). Periop/OR RN’s, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. These IN travelers are allowed to work past the 11/30 deadline. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS IU Health is now offering charge pay, which is a $3.00 bill rate bump per hour First Time Travelers Accepted Shift Requirements: 4x12s or 3x12s Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed at both University and Methodist Hospitals Staffing Ratios: 1:5-6 Unit Information: Post Operative - Urology, GYN, GI, Ortho etc. & some pre-op patients Effective 9/1, the COVID vaccine is required for all travelers at IU Health campuses. Skillset Preferences: Management of dysrhythmias and Interpretation of dysrhythmias Job Requirements Minimum 2 Year of Med/Surg Experience, 2 Years Overall RN experience required BCLS certification required COVID vaccine required Floating experience between Med-Surg, PCU, ICU Schedule Information Shift Requirements: 4x12s or 3x12s Call-Ins: Expectations for making up missed shifts are provided based on FTE status Weekends: Every other weekend, but consecutive weekends may be necessary depending on operational needs Charge coverage: Unit charge nurse responsibilities may be required with provided training and resources Unit Specific Information Post Operative care involving Urology, GYN, GI, Ortho, and some pre-op patients Charge pay may apply with charge nurse responsibilities Additional Details Valid Driver’s License or State ID required Must provide clear copy of ID Specific IU Health compliance forms and checklists must be completed On-site Fit Test may be available as a last resort Personal or Auto Insurance proof required for Hospice specialty Orientation and training modules may be mandatory prior to or during employment
