Description Our Mission: Arapahoe County Department of Human Services (ACDHS) builds strong communities by promoting the safety, independence, and stability of individuals and families. Our Vision:To end the cycle of poverty and prevent abuse and neglect of children and vulnerable adults (using an integrated Two-Generation approach) ACDHS uses an integrated Two-Generation (2Gen) approach to address all of the basic human services needs of the entire family unit. The 2Gen approach begins with a mindset focused on family-centered program design, continues with the alignment of services and resources within the department as well as across multiple organizations, resulting in coordinated services to children and adults together (family) in order to create long term stability and sustainability. The 2Gen approach builds well-being for families by focusing equally and intentionally on high-quality services in five areas of focus: early childhood education, adult education and employment pathways, economic security, health and well-being and social capital. This approach will help us achieve our core mission of breaking the generational cycle of poverty, preventing neglect and abuse and building strong communities. Provides Desktop and Network end-user support specific to Human Services technology and programming. Assists the Community and Child Support Services Data and Systems Administrator in performing a wide variety of duties related to the support of data analysis and business best practices derived from data and software utilization, in accordance with the long-term Department goal of 2-generational programming. Provides training and support to staff members on State and County software applications. Utilizes data and end user support statistics to gather information for future system, program, and process enhancements. Duties DUTIES: Provides on-site user support for all technological resources. Acts as a liaison with other Divisions and Departments to ensure that staff have appropriate access to databases, facilities, phones, equipment, and software that they need to be effective in their jobs. Provides on-site help desk services for users by researching problems, correcting them, or contacting the appropriate help desk. Responsible for assisting in the development, coordination, and training of all CCSS Division employees on office software, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Windows, Outlook, Access, CBMS, CHATS, ACSES, and HSConnects. The Data and Systems Support Analyst is responsible for assisting in analyzing, tracking and coordinating technological needs, program and business process improvements, and making appropriate recommendations to the Data and Systems Administrator. This can include the upgrade and/or purchase of system software and hardware, the repair of system equipment as needed, and/or improved business processes as related to our effort in a 2 Generational approach to services. Assists the Division as needed in day-to-day work through efficient use of technology. Provide training to all office personnel, of varying abilities, in the effective use of applicable software programs utilized by the Arapahoe County Community and Child Support Services. Provides orientation on office technology to new staff members. Gain a working knowledge of workflow patterns of the Division process using system software. Set up PC desktop support including, but not limited to, replacing, updating, installing equipment and software for all personnel. Attends ongoing training from the State and County and IT staff to enhance and maintain knowledge of changes and developments in technology. Applies this knowledge to the workplace to enhance staff productivity. Analyze various types of data to identify trends and other indicators to increase efficiencies throughout the Division. REQUIREMENTS: Skills, Abilities and Comp tencies: Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks on an on-going basis with limited supervision and work effectively and in a timely manner when faced with a high volume of work, multiple deadlines, frequent interruptions and dealing with difficult individuals. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, co-workers, and outside agencies; ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with same. Extensive knowledge of Public Assistance programs/eligibility rules and State Eligibility systems. Ability to learn and in certain cases, configure software as needed. Extensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office products. Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills. Ability to determine efficient business processes utilizing data, logic, and/or personal experience Strong problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of computer hardware and software Behavioral Competencies: Accountability Accessibility Inclusivity Integrity Requirements Education and Experience: Associate degree 1-2 years' data reporting and/or data analysis. 1-2 years' IT helpdesk support. 2-3 years in professional casework, case management, or human services experiences preferred. Any equivalent combination of education and work experience that satisfy the requirements of the job will be considered.
