Role Summary The Senior Estimator will be responsible for leading estimating efforts for water and wastewater construction projects. Working closely with the current Chief Estimator and senior leadership, this professional will play a key role in shaping the success of the division. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage detailed cost estimates for civil, structural (steel and concrete), and mechanical (process) components of water/wastewater projects. Analyze project plans, specifications, and contracts to accurately determine project requirements. Collaborate with leadership to enhance estimating standards, streamline processes, and secure competitive bids. Mentor and support junior estimators, fostering team development as the division grows. Assist in the transition of responsibilities from the Chief Estimator, positioning for future leadership. Required Experience and Skills Extensive experience as an estimator in self-performing water/wastewater general contracting. A minimum of 10 years in the construction industry, with a focus on estimating or relevant project management experience. Proficiency with estimating tools such as Hard Dollar, HCSS, or Bid2Win (training available for B2W). In-depth knowledge of civil, structural, and mechanical (process) construction; electrical expertise is not required. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and thrive in a dynamic environment.
