Staff Geologist, Environmental Consulting Our corporate office in Gold River, CA is seeking a Staff Geologist to join our consulting firm in the Sacramento area. In this role, you will work closely with project managers on a variety of environmental projects. We are seeking a full-time hire who is detail-oriented and self-motivated. Responsibilities: Perform tasks and project assignments associated with environmental assessments, hydrogeological studies, subsurface investigations and remedial designs, and monitoring projects; All manner of field work, including soil and groundwater sample collection and sample preparation for laboratory analysis; Project deliverables including the preparation of soil boring logs, well construction diagrams, potentiometric surface maps, geologic cross sections, site sample and plume maps, work plans and reports; Working collaboratively with project management and field staff; Laboratory and hydrogeologic data management; Permit management. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in geology, engineering or science-related field. 0-3 years of environmental geology experience OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (preferred) Excellent oral and written communication skills Detail-oriented and troubleshooting/problem-solving skills. Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties. Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
