Who we are looking for: We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Reg E Dispute Specialist to join our financial operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and resolving debit card disputes, ACH disputes, mis-posted items, and account adjustments in compliance with Regulation E (Reg E) requirements. This role requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of financial regulations, and the ability to deliver exceptional service to customers while ensuring operational efficiency. What you'll do: Dispute Investigation and Resolution: Investigate and resolve disputes related to debit card transactions, ACH transactions, and mis-posted items in compliance with Reg E guidelines. Accurately process account adjustments to resolve errors or discrepancies. Communicate effectively with customers to gather necessary information and provide updates on dispute status. Reg E Compliance: Ensure all disputes are handled within mandated timelines and meet all regulatory requirements. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Regulation E and other relevant financial regulations. Document dispute casework and resolutions in accordance with audit and compliance standards. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze transaction data to identify patterns, anomalies, or fraudulent activities. Prepare and submit regular reports on dispute trends and resolution timelines. Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including fraud prevention, customer service, and operations, to ensure seamless dispute management. Liaise with external networks or financial institutions as needed for dispute resolution. Occasionally perform other Deposit Operational duties as needed. What you'll need to be successful: Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred. Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a financial institution or operations role involving debit card disputes, ACH disputes, or similar processes. Skills: Strong knowledge of Regulation E and its application in financial disputes. Proficiency in handling ACH, debit card transactions, and general ledger adjustments. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service. Proficiency in financial systems and dispute resolution software. Key Competencies: Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong commitment to continuous learning.
