Student Financial Services (SFS) seeks candidates for the Student Information Systems Analyst role. This role is responsible for configuring system settings and testing functionality within Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, as well as analyzing existing processes and implementing innovative solutions to support the financial aid team. Department Summary SFS is a group of about 60 individuals working in financial aid and student billing, committed to providing equitable access to financial resources for all students. We promote a culture of connectivity and cohesiveness, working together for the good of students and families. Our Information Technology team is comprised of five team members who support the departmental business operations, and regularly interface with the enterprise IT team that supports the entire University. Position Overview This position will be responsible for streamlining processes and maximizing functionality within Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, with a focus on financial aid. This includes configuration of budgets, institutional need analysis, packaging plans, SAP, and queries to support internal and external reporting. The analyst will participate in internal and cross-department projects to improve financial aid reading, awarding, and compliance activities. In addition, the analyst will be responsible for our document imaging workflow within Perceptive Content. Successful applicants will be self-starters with the ability to adapt to changing needs with each financial aid cycle. The systems analyst will identify potential problems and enhancements by examining data and cultivating relationships with other members of the department. Once a new feature is identified, the analyst will gather requirements, work with the IT team to develop solutions, and lead user acceptance testing. Salary range: $80,000-90,000 a year Job Duties Perform configuration changes to PeopleSoft Financial Aid module to include, but not limited to, packaging plans, cost of attendance budgets, INAS global options, satisfactory academic progress, and Equation Engine formulas Diagnose problems and identify potential improvements within the PeopleSoft Financial Aid module and the Perceptive Content financial aid reading workflow Monitor system processes for compliance in federal, state, and institutional regulations and policy Develop queries to create financial aid reports, implement systems checks, and provide statistical data to SFS managers Proactively interview and observe financial aid administrators to thoroughly understand business processes and identify areas where a technical solution can improve productivity Maintain batch processes using run controls to perform repetitive tasks including population updates, assigning communications, and loading external awards Gather, prioritize, and develop quality comprehensive business and technical requirements for financial aid enhancements Analyze, evaluate and test software capabilities to meet user requirements and identify gaps in delivered functionality Collaborate with a team of developers to provide new financial aid functionality, create test cases, and lead user acceptance testing Maintain comprehensive documentation on system processes Preferred Qualifications 5 years experience supporting financial aid within a Student Information System Demonstrated proficiency in analytical thinking and process improvement Experience with Oracle PSQuery or a similar query language Student Financial Services values diversity, equity, inclusivity, and respect. Position Compensation Range: $54,576.00 - $109,153.00 Annual MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: High School Diploma, Associate's Degree Preferred Experience: 3 years. Licensure: None. PHYSICAL DEMANDS This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
