Job Description Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in the search for an Accountant. Our client located in Chicago, IL is looking for an Accountant to join their team on a Contract-to-Hire basis. They are seeking someone with 3 years of experience and knowledge of GAAP, AP, and AR. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply immediately. Accountant Responsibilities: Maintaining the Accounts Payable function: entering vendor invoices, setting up electronic payments, and reconciling vendor statements. Maintaining monthly balance sheet reconciliations Processing daily cash receipts from clients Help monitor and support time entry and timekeeping compliance Monitor & approve employee expense reimbursements Supporting the monthly financial close through journal entry preparation Accountant Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field 3 years' experience and working knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), AP, AR, and General Ledger Systems: Workday and Excel (Advanced) Detail oriented, organized, and enjoys problem solving High energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude LI-JS1
