In this vital role you will support the Corporate Governance Director (CGD) and Strategic Planning & Operations Director (SPO) within Amgens Worldwide Compliance and Business Ethics department (WC&BE). The role reports to the CGD, requires a high level of discretion and sensitivity, and involves significant cross-functional coordination (within and beyond WC&BE), project management, and oversight of relevant corporate governance databases. Responsibilities Support the CGD regarding the timely execution and continuous improvement of corporate compliance governance processes, including evaluating opportunities to use technology to streamline and simplify process steps. Manage preparations for the Corporate Responsibility and Compliance Committee (CRCC) of the Board of Directors and the Executive Operating Team, including collaborating with senior leaders and their teams across functions to develop, draft, and refine agendas, written materials, and live presentations. Day-to-day handling and management of corporate governance data, including assisting with internal user access and permissions. Support the SPO in providing operational support to Amgens Chief Compliance Officer (CCO), including planning, communications, project management and implementation of functional projects. Support the SPO regarding coordination of internal and external presentation development and opportunities, including internal and external speaking engagements for the CCO, Functional Reviews, All-Staff presentations, and reports on business and program performance. Support the SPO in managing and tracking organizational resources, including headcount and budget, partnering with Finance & Human Resources. Basic Qualifications: Doctorate degree Or Masters degree and 2 years of Healthcare Compliance, Legal, and/or Business experience Or Bachelors degree and 4 years of Healthcare Compliance, Legal, and/or Business experience Or Associates degree and 8 years of Healthcare Compliance, Legal, and/or Business experience Or High school diploma / GED and 10 years of Healthcare Compliance, Legal, and/or Business experience Preferred Qualifications: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and communication and collaboration platforms/tools such as Smartsheet, MS Teams, SharePoint, and Concur Experience working in biopharmaceutical industry and possesses a working understanding of compliance risk areas Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including writing formal documents for senior leader audiences and comfort using data to tell stories Ability to liaise with, influence and manage cross-functional and external partners at multiple levels of seniority Ability to adapt and be flexible Maintain an entrepreneurial mind-set, taking ownership over the risks and processes you identify for improvement and searching for creative solutions Serve as a focal point of contact for assigned projects and build strong partnership with stakeholders Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Ability to manage competing priorities, manage multiple initiatives or tasks, and track / report status of assignments and activities Ability to maintain strict confidentially and to demonstrate discretion when handling sensitive information What you can expect from us As we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for your professional and personal growth and well-being. The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
