Success will be measured by client satisfaction, schedule, budget, Quality and Safety. This is a seasoned construction professional capable of working on a wide variety of fast paced warehouse to large, complex manufacturing and process projects that are typically design/build delivery. The Senior Project Manager will work with Project Executives in conceptual estimating, design-build scope development and proposal preparation to successfully procure work. They will provide early scope buy-out, coordination, and assistance in transferring the project to the Operations Team. The Senior Project Manager will ensure quality and timely execution of design/build projects through oversight of the project execution strategy developed during preconstruction. Cross-functional collaboration is essential, in partnering with internal marketing, pre-construction services, business unit leaders, and operations to oversee Scheduling, subcontractor buyout, cost reporting, preparation of subcontracts, the handling of owner coordination, and project closeout. Specific Responsibilities • Work with Pursuit team including internal and external design partners in RFQ/RFP/ GMP responses • Assist in Negotiation of the deal and contract with the owner • Lead role with Preconstruction services in bidding projects • Lead role post award with design initiation, procurement strategy and packages. • Proactively manages design team to ensure complete design without “over designing” • Manages project budget establishment and adherence through design and construction phases • Develop and maintain client and vendor relationships • Maintain complete understanding of the Clayco/Owner contract Requirements: • 7 Years of Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering required • Complete knowledge of construction principles/practices required. Experience in large sitework projects is preferred. • Excellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with all types of individuals • Proficient at leading a successful project team, including development of employee and maintaining relationships with external entities • Creative and results-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency • Successfully managed projects of at least 25 million dollars through budgeting, design and construction phases. • Highly self-motivated, with the ability to work equally well on own as well as in a team environment. • 5 years management experience • Contract Administration • Presentation and interpersonal communication skills • Ability to oversee several projects at one time
