Combustion Sourcing Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Combustion Sourcing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the supply of combustion-related products and services, ensuring the company’s operations maintain efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with industry standards. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure a reliable and sustainable supply chain for combustion systems, equipment, and related components. Key Responsibilities: Sourcing & Supplier Management: Identify and evaluate suppliers of combustion equipment, components, and services (e.g., burners, fuel systems, combustion control systems). Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing, quality, and on-time delivery. Negotiate terms and conditions of contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules. Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to product quality, delivery, or cost discrepancies. Market Analysis & Trends: Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and new product offerings related to combustion equipment and solutions. Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and potential cost-saving opportunities. Evaluate and recommend alternative products and technologies to meet organizational needs. Cost Management & Budgeting: Assist in the development and management of the procurement budget for combustion-related products and services. Work with internal stakeholders to ensure sourcing decisions align with financial and operational goals. Identify cost reduction opportunities while maintaining or improving product quality and performance. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to understand requirements and specifications for combustion systems and components. Ensure that combustion-related products meet technical specifications, regulatory requirements, and sustainability goals. Provide technical support and guidance on sourcing and supplier issues when required. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all sourced products and suppliers comply with relevant regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines. Maintain accurate records of sourcing activities, contracts, and supplier performance metrics. Support audits and ensure compliance with internal and external quality management systems (e.g., ISO, EPA). Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience: 3 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably with a focus on combustion-related products or industries (e.g., energy, manufacturing, chemicals). Strong understanding of combustion technologies, fuel systems, burners, combustion control systems, and associated components. Skills: Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and sourcing/procurement software. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to combustion systems and safety. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CPIM). Experience working with global suppliers and understanding international procurement practices. Familiarity with sustainability initiatives and green technologies in combustion systems. Experience with cost modeling and budget management.
