Job Title: Electrical Control Engineer Location: Wilmington, MA- Onsite Duration: Permanent Role Job Description: Our client is looking for a talented and self-motivated Electrical Control Engineer. The ideal candidate will have experience architecting, developing and maintaining the range of complex electrical and electronic systems comprising a novel metal additive manufacturing machine. This includes, but is not limited to, controls design, power design, servo system design, and PLC design. Responsibilities: Able to use existing standards, procedures, and practices; Knowledge in compressors, engines or power electronics is a plus; Ability to actively participate in team development and team-oriented processes and motivate others to do the same; Accuracy/attention to detail; Ability to startup and debug complex systems; Understanding of optimization techniques is preferred; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; PLC servo motion control integration experience; Experience in automating processes is preferred; PLC Programming experience is a plus; Ability to read electrical schematics; Education/Experience: Required: B.S. or M.S. degree in Electrical, Robotics Engineering, or related fields; 2-3 years of experience in a related field Skills required: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written as well as proven effective teamwork. Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or similar CAD systems. Strong background in Mechatronics, specifically servo motors and feedback control systems. Spice or similar circuit simulation experience. Experience with DC and Pulsed DC power, piezo drives, and RF sources. Familiarity with ACS, Delta Tau, Beckhoff (Safety) PLC & EtherCAT I/O.
