Provision of treatments, therapies including medication, to patients of all ages in accordance with physician written orders and in accordance with the organization and department policies and procedures. Has knowledge and training to apply special equipment and techniques in a manner that provides positive patient outcome. Has knowledge and training to assess patients for respiratory care needs and support, and ability to assess treatment or therapy outcome. The MRI Registry Technologist is responsible for front line patient care while providing safe, quality MRI imaging. Registry Technologist ensures compliance with State of Illinois regulatory standards as applicable to MRI and American College of Radiology (ACR) Accreditation safety standards. The Registry technologist is responsible for providing MRI procedures and service in accordance with department policy and procedure. Registry Technologists provides all patient exams including ER, Out-patient and In-patient. Provides patients with explanation of procedure, properly preps patients as appropriate, and administers IV injectable contrast media as required. Registry is required to perform duties within the team and be able to function independently as needed and ensure daily reconciliation of Open Order and Taken Status reports. MINIMUM EDUCATION:  Associate's degree from an American Medical Association approved course in Radiologic Technology MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:  1-5 years of experience as a MRI Technologist preferred  New graduates will be considered based on interview, recommendation, skill and competency  Experience training others in required  Strong understanding of the process for MRI accreditation through American College of Radiology REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:  CPR REQUIRED  MUST BE CERTIFIED IN MRI FROM AMERICAN REGISTRY OF RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGY WITHIN ONE YEAR OF HIRE We are committed to creating an inclusive and collaborative work environment that encourages professional development and growth across all our ancillary and procedural departments.
