If so, the Merrick Clean Water Infrastructure Team Wants YOU Merrick & Company is seeking a CADD Manager with ten (10) or more years of experience in the water resources engineering market for a key position in our growing Clean Water Infrastructure Engineering team. The individual in this position oversees and coordinates all aspects of CADD design (Revit, Civil 3D, and AutoCad) for our projects in the water resource market. This position will be located in our Denver, CO office; however, other locations may be considered (CO; Boise, ID; San Antonio, TX; Colorado Springs, CO; Lewiston, ID; Greenwood Village, CO). Typical salary range for this position is $99,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year. Base pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience. WHAT YOU'LL DO The CAD Manager oversees the Clean Water Infrastructure CAD Department at Merrick. The primary responsibilities of the CAD Manager are to plan, prioritize and orchestrate work workload distribution, support the management of project delivery, software deployment, standards improvement, maintenance and training required to successfully support and manage Merrick's CAD applications within the Team. The CAD Manager provides direction, delegates, and removes obstacles to get work done. The role has heavy coordination with existing Technical Editing, Administrative, Quality Control, Engineering, Graphic Storytelling, and Technical Practice Leaders, but is focused on aligning and orchestrating CADD resources needed to efficiently produce the project specific contracted deliverables across multiple clients and project teams. The essential duties and responsibilities regularly performed and normally assigned to this position are as follows: Analyze and configure CAD systems, processes, and standards with the goal of improving efficiency of production teams. Implement and support corporate/Water Resources Team CAD standards, organize and maintain CAD files and setup CAD design files. Assist corporate CAD/Revit team with implementing training curriculum Promote corporate CAD/Revit standards, procedures and technology. Coordinate new software implementation with the Corporate CAD Manager. Assist corporate CAD/Revit team with technical support for CAD Software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Infraworks, etc.). Collaborate with other design disciplines. Ability to interface with clients and contractors, to follow schedules and budget commitments, to work independently and within a team. Meet expectations for attendance and punctuality and can problem solve. Train and support office CAD staff. Troubleshoot and address issues with CAD and project files. Manage and mentor other CAD designers and technicians. Provide support for plotting and electronic submissions. Coordinate customization of CAD Programs. Perform Quality Control reviews for CAD related submittals to assure compliance with standards. Interact on projects standards coordination with clients. Active participation in professional organizations, user groups and conferences. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Associates Degree, Technical School Certificate or Certification in Drafting/Design, AutoCAD, or equivalent combination of education and on the job technical training. Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the civil engineering market. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Revit. Experience with Dynamo, InfraWorks, and BIM 360. Previous CAD Management experience preferred. Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and be insurable under Merrick's insurance carrier. Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship. Knowledge of the civil engineering industry, regulatory, codes and standards a plus. Client projects for this position require U.S. citizenship. Plans and prioritizes work to meet contracted commitments aligned with organizational goals.
