Job Description Job Description Job Description: Contract Shopify Website Developer (Hybrid Role) Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Shopify Website Developer to collaborate with us on enhancing and finalizing our Shopify website. The foundation of the site is already in place, but we require your expertise to make adjustments, optimize functionality, and customize features to align with our brand vision. Additionally, this role includes a teaching component: you will guide our team through basic updates and site management to ensure we can maintain and grow the website independently after completion. Key Responsibilities: Review and assess the current state of our Shopify website and recommend enhancements. Implement design and functionality adjustments, including custom coding if necessary. Optimize the website for performance, user experience, and mobile responsiveness. Integrate apps or plugins as needed to enhance site functionality. Provide hands-on training and documentation for our team on managing the site, including: Updating products, pages, and content. Adjusting design elements within Shopify’s theme editor. Managing third-party apps and tools. Ensure the website aligns with our brand identity and goals. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during development. Requirements: Proven experience developing and customizing Shopify websites (portfolio or examples of work required). Strong understanding of Shopify’s Liquid templating language, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Familiarity with Shopify themes, apps, and integrations. Excellent communication skills and ability to teach non-technical team members basic Shopify management. Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering clean, functional designs and code. Experience in optimizing e-commerce websites for performance and user experience. (Preferred) Knowledge of graphic design tools or experience with branding is a plus. Contract Details: Location: U.S.-based candidates preferred. In-person meetings are welcome if local, but remote candidates who can offer virtual training are also encouraged to apply. Duration: Estimated 4–6 weeks, with potential for ongoing support as needed. Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience, paid per project milestones.
