Adelphi is looking to recruit a Autonomous psychiatric nurse practitioner (PMHNP) to work at a facility in Petersburg, Virginia. The ideal candidate will provide virtual psychiatric services to adolescents and children and will conduct primary care screenings as needed at multiple clinics. Job Quick Facts • Ref : BD-114-33 • Profession: Autonomous Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) • Specialty: Psychiatry • Location: Petersburg, Virginia • Job Type: Contract • Coverage Type: Telehealth • Facility Type: Mental Health Clinics • Shift schedule: 1 day (7 or 8 hours) per week Requirements: • Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Virginia with a specialization in Psychiatric/Mental Health • Autonomous Practice designation issued by the Virginia Boards of Nursing and Medicine. • Must possess and maintain prescriptive authority in the Commonwealth of Virginia • BLS • DEA License • Valid VA Driver's License Preferred: • Demonstrated experience in community mental health with persons with serious and persistent mental illness, developmental disabilities, substance use and co-occurring disorders. Responsibilities: • Provide consultation to agency staff about clinical and medical services. • Conduct assessments/evaluations of psychiatric illnesses. • Monitors client’s response to treatment including medication side effects and adverse reactions. • Document response to treatment; enter orders for diagnostic tests, medications, and other therapies. • Completes prior authorizations and paperwork as requested. • Timely completion of medical record documentation in accordance with the state ACT Model, DMAS, and CSB policies, procedures, regulatory standards and guidelines. • Provide consultation and guidance for Primary Care Screening and Monitoring program.
