Must Have: LA - 3 days a week onsite Solid in complex excel Good in intermediate SQL Great communication Billing or invoicing or finance experience JOB DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Business Analyst with a specialization in finance and billing for our broadcast Ad Sales application. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of financial processes, billing systems, and the broadcast advertising industry. This role involves analyzing financial data, improving billing operations, revenue accounting, credit & collections processes and contributing to the overall efficiency of our Ad Sales application. Key Responsibilities: ● Liaise with stakeholders to gather and define requirements, set project timelines, and ensure the alignment of the billing system with business objectives. ● Conduct meetings with stakeholders to validate understanding, demonstrate product updates and manage the scope of the project. ● Develop and maintain detailed documentation of the system, including data models, flowcharts, and system specifications. ● Design, implement, and manage solutions to improve system accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. ● Produce business requirements and functional specification documents. ● Perform system analysis, create user stories and wireframes. ● Perform defect Analysis and Impact Analysis. ● Collaborate with key project stakeholders and business communities to comprehend the overall business vision for each project. ● Collaborate with developers and SMEs to build the technical vision and analyze trade-offs. ● Perform user acceptance testing & system integration testing. ● Support users to perform business functions within the system. ● Work closely with product owners and internal and external development teams. ● Ability to structure project documents and communicate requirements with precision and organization. Technical/Functional Expertise: ● Strong written and verbal communication skills in English ● Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. ● Documentation and Specification Skills. ● Strong analytical skills ● Experience with Excel writing formulas, pivot tables, etc. to analyze data. ● Experience with Salesforce. ● Visual Modeling (UML, DFD, DATA Modelling, ER Diagrams, Activity, Sequence, Use Case Diagrams, Wireframes) ● Facilitation and Elicitation Skills Experience: ● A Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or equivalent. ● years experience related to duties and responsibilities ● At least 5 years of experience in business analysis, system analysis, and working with business users and vendors. ● At least 5 years of experience defining complex requirements and user stories. ● Experience with supporting applications in production. ● Experience in an Agile environment, crafting User Stories and scrum meetings. ● Experience in creating mockups, wireframes, and storyboards. ● Expertise with PowerPoint, Lucidchart and Excel ● Proven experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on finance and billing systems, preferably in the broadcast or advertising industry. ● Experience with the Broadcast or Cable Media industry, Ad Sales finance, billing, and revenue accounting is a plus.
