We currently serve over 4,500 customers across the United States with a focus on specialized, regulated sectors such as healthcare, education, government, and legal. Our Lango marketplace connects customers with tech-enabled in-person, virtual, phone, and AI interpreting and translation services spanning 200 languages including American Sign Language. Additionally, Lango's new SaaS platform is an end to end business solution for SMB and enterprise clients to run their own language services businesses and organizations through seamless hiring, scheduling, billing, and payments. The VP Product is responsible for setting the strategic vision and direction for the Lango SaaS platform, driving the product roadmap to achieve business goals and deliver exceptional value to customers. This role leads the product team, overseeing a product manager and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that the platform remains innovative, user-centric, and competitive. While it is a leadership role, our Product team is lean, so this position is not just a manager and leader, but a doer. This position plays a key role in aligning product strategy with company objectives, fostering a culture of excellence, and spearheading initiatives to expand market reach and customer satisfaction. Additionally, the VP Product will leverage emerging technologies such as AI, ML, and NLP to transform how language services are delivered and scale the platform’s impact on the industry. Job Duties & Responsibilities: Strategic Vision and Roadmap Define and communicate a clear product vision and multi-year roadmap that aligns with Lango’s mission and strategic objectives. Drive the platform’s growth, enabling language service providers (LSPs) to scale their operations, connect with a global network, and deliver innovative services. Champion high-impact initiatives that differentiate the platform and position Lango as a leader in the language services industry. Leadership and Team Development Build and mentor a high-performing product team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Empower team members to execute effectively and deliver impactful solutions that align with strategic priorities. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to ensure seamless execution of the product roadmap. Act as a key partner to other executives, supporting company-wide initiatives and driving alignment across functions. Customer and Market Insight Leverage customer feedback, market research, and industry trends to inform product strategy and identify new opportunities for AI-driven innovation. Champion a customer-centric approach to ensure the platform meets the evolving needs of LSPs, interpreters, and end-users. Product Development Oversight Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, ensuring that features meet quality, usability, and performance standards. Lead the prioritization of features and allocate resources effectively to maximize product impact and ROI. Data-Driven Decision Making Define and monitor key product metrics to evaluate performance, customer engagement, and satisfaction. Use insights to guide strategic decisions, optimize the product portfolio, and improve processes. Innovation and Continuous Improvement Encourage innovation within the product organization, leveraging emerging technologies like neural machine translation, OCR, and intelligent call-routing systems to improve efficiency and scalability. Drive initiatives to improve product development processes, reducing time-to-market and enhancing platform quality. Go-to-Market Strategy and Execution Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop effective go-to-market strategies, including product positioning, messaging, and pricing. Ensure successful adoption and market success for new features and enhancements. Executive Reporting and Communication Provide regular updates to the executive team on product strategy, roadmap progress, and key performance metrics. Represent the voice of the customer in executive discussions and contribute to long-term company strategy. Budget and Resource Management Manage the product budget effectively, ensuring resources are aligned with strategic priorities and deliver strong ROI. Required qualifications: 6 years of Product Management experience at a tech company 6 years of experience with SaaS platforms and cloud infrastructure Proven success collaborating with engineering, QA, and analytics teams 2 years of leadership experience Familiarity with AI/ML technologies Preferred qualifications: Expertise in the language services industry Technical background or the ability to work closely with engineers Passion for or experience with ASL, Deaf, or hard-of-hearing communities Experience in neural machine translation or AI-driven tools
