Project Manager - RNG Interconnection

About the Company - We are delighted to once again be partnered with a leading developer & owner/operator of RNG assets. About the Role - The Project Manager - RNG Interconnection is responsible for all aspects of new large business commercial and industrial customer load, new gas supply, and renewable receipt points for interconnection projects to midstream gathering systems, interstate and intrastate pipelines, and/or local distribution networks. Additionally, This responsibility can include proactively developing business opportunities, supporting regulatory activities, and negotiating customer contracts. Responsibilities - Execute on highly complex new pipeline interconnections including managing official applications, ensuring job cost estimates are produced and communicated to customer, completing standard form contracts, track project funding to ensure financial obligations are met and negotiating special facility agreements and/or any exceptional case agreements Monitor progress in engineering, design, project management, monitoring project budget and construction to ensure facilities are completed on time Support internal and external education efforts championing our gas portfolio through preparation of marketing material and presentations Proactive outreach to build relationships and execute on new business opportunities to increase throughput and renewables for the gas system to support decarbonization initiatives, accomplish objectives and effectively work both in teams and individually Apply project/program management methods to perform work completion Analyze data to identify trends, track progress against goals, and recommend strategies for improvement Perform assessments, present to leadership for approval and offer negotiated rates Identify and maintain strong working relationships with all strategic programs and partners Support benchmarking with other utilities/3rd parties for process improvement, best practices and change management Support regulatory activities by writing testimony, responding to data requests, meet with regulators and other IOUs, and/or provide content for regulatory filings Qualifications - Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Business, Marketing or related or equivalent experience Engineer in Training (EIT) certification and/or Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred PMP-Project Management Professional certification preferred Commercial negotiation, economic evaluation, project management, and planning skills 7 years of related experience in the natural gas industry, preferably midstream or downstream 1 year of experience in interconnections, new business or related 2 years of customer service experience 2 years of related experience in program management, project management, and/or product management, including process improvement work Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with internal and external stakeholders
