Project Engineer The Project Engineer is responsible for completing engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements. The incumbent will collaborate closely with internal teams, clients, and vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, on spec, and in compliance with industry regulations. Position Functions Complete engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements. Establish equipment list from validated P&ID. Perform standard technical calculations and sizing for a complete project or an area of a liquid processing project in Food, Dairy, Beverage, Cosmetics, Pharmaceutical or Brewery markets. Develop associated specifications and help in conducting RFQ process: offer analysis and technical comparison of offers to help final decision on supplier choice. Manage PO requisition and supports supply chain in supplier follow up. Support Project Managers, Site Managers and Engineering Manager in all the design review (P&ID, drawing, 3D). Manage and perform material control at reception. Work to complete projects within budget, specifications and scheduling restraints. Prepare technical bid packages for mechanical installation of process equipment, platforms, pipe racks, piping and other industrial components based on the scope of the projects, the drawings generated by the Design Office, the project schedule, internal guidelines and best practices, customer standards and specifications, building and plumbing codes. In collaboration with the Supply Chain Manager and the Project Manager, distributes the bid packages to qualified contractors and performs technical alignment of the proposals received. Make recommendations regarding the selection of contractors and bid award. Provide coordination between contractors onsite and customer representatives (i.e., safety manager, construction manager, production). Monitor the respect by contractors of the scope and quality criteria defined in the contract, creates non-conformities when applicable and ensures the application of agreed action plans. Keep safety First, comply with OSHA regulations, anticipate safety issues, take corrective actions as necessary. Requirements Bachelor of Science in Food Processing, Agricultural, Biological, or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent with a minimum of one (1) to five (5) years of proven experience in a related field. Skills and Abilities Knowledge of Food and/or Cosmetic and/or Pharmaceutical process Good project management skills and good organizational skills Good interpersonal, customer, and communication skills Keen eye for detail Great organization, and interpersonal skills Ability to work autonomously and complete tasks without constant supervision A strong interest in technical tasks and keen on working in the field Competency in MS Suite and other data entry software Travel : Yes, required.
